Day 2: The Role of AI in The Future of Work Strategies Embracing AI

My second day at Skillwise Consulting, coming into the office for my internship, I was equally eager and curious about the newest detail assigned to me. I had a positive amount of dealing with interrogating the effects of AI chat systems on job positions as well as “exploring sub-tasks positions forming due to technological advancement.”
Research-Based Learning AI Advanced Research
In my case, I was focused on creating an explanation of the work I did previously that was reworked into a form understandable by a broader audience. Therefore, I combined several, more reliable, methods to record for a comprehensive report. I searched for:
ChatGPT to build and polish my ideas in AI-related matters
My youtube allowed specialized channels to fix parts of my older videos that needed correction and hence the name “video corrective guides”.
Microsoft Copilot for clearing and grammar checking
Perplexity AI and NotebookLM for retrieving the most recent articles published on topics I was interested in.
Cross-referencing google scholar for checking citations opened up a new world of understanding other relevant topics to me.
These resources equipped me with the necessary information, allowing me to formulate fundamental concepts regarding the core principles of various theories.
Challenges and How I Tackled Them
AI as a subject was quite captivating. However, I did experience some confusion when considering AI’s impact in the world. In the office, I actively talked with my colleagues, AI experts, and watched its informative videos online. Most importantly, I spoke with coworkers and took their practical advice into account. All these strategies helped in resolving my issues.
Important Points to Remember:
My attention was pulled towards the degree AI is transforming the workplace. While some positions will be AI-automated, I believe that new, more innovative, emotionally intelligent, and creative roles will arise unrestricted by a machine’s capabilities.
Besides, the self-writing and researching experience demonstrated that skills are developed by doing, exploring, and having a sense of curiosity not merely learning from books.
Reflection of The Day
The session did more than simply complete the task at hand. Instead, I started contemplating how to approach technology in modern workplaces. These types of processes help me develop not only as an intern, but as a professional in an actively advancing world. I appreciate deepening my understanding and skills through this fascinating journey.
