Introduction

When I began my 15-day internship at Skillwise Consulting, I expected structured lectures, corporate handshakes, and a schedule. Instead, I was asked one question: “What is the purpose of life?” That set the tone for everything that followed. This wasn’t going to be a checklist internship  it was going to be a journey. Over the next two weeks, I explored topics that combined technology, literature, sustainability, and personal growth. Here’s my day-by-day reflection on how this experience reshaped my understanding of both the modern world and my place in it.

Highlights from My 15 Days


Day 1 – Learning Begins at Skillwise

Started with the Japanese concept of Ikigai to explore passion, mission, vocation, and profession. Tools like ChatGPT, YouTube, and Copilot became my research partners.


Day 2 – AI and the Future of Work

Understood how AI isn’t just a buzzword but a professional skillset, boosting productivity, creativity, and decision-making.


Day 3 – Brainrot & Digital Drain

Explored the dangers of excessive screen time and the importance of mindful digital habits.


Day 4 & 5 – Change Begins with Us

Reflected on how personal responsibility, small actions, and sustainable practices lead to collective impact.


Day 6 – The World’s Most Liveable Cities (2025)

Learned what urban planning and strong policies can teach developing nations.


Day 7 & 8 – Clean Technology

Discovered how eco-friendly innovations can drive both sustainability and economic growth.


Day 9 & 10 – Bioengineering & Biotechnology

Understood their applications in medicine, agriculture, and environmental science.


Day 11 – Biotechnology vs. Bioengineering

Clarified their differences and unique contributions to innovation.


Day 12 – Artificial Organs & Bio-Printing

Explored futuristic healthcare possibilities like lab-grown tissues.


Day 13 – Environmental Biotechnology

Studied how living organisms help heal the planet.


Day 14 – Investing in Biotech & Bioengineering

Saw the economic promise in science-driven industries.


Day 15 – DNA Fingerprinting & Forensics

Learned how biotechnology strengthens justice systems.


Conclusion

This internship was more than just learning it was seeing connections.

From AI to environmental responsibility, from literature’s role in shaping ideas to biotechnology’s role in shaping futures  I realised that the skills of tomorrow require both imagination and innovation. I now feel more confident in my ability to contribute meaningfully, whether that’s in the future of English literature in the age of AI or in any sphere where knowledge and creativity intersect.
