Day 01 at Skillwise Consulting – A Nervous Start, A Curious Mind

This morning, I started a 15-day internship with Skillwise Consulting. In my case, hearing of such a big corporate company made me really nervous yet piqued my curiosity all at once. I have heard of the “less talk, more work” approach being heard widely used. For the first time in my life as a student in college, I found out that these assumptions did have some truth to them which I was very shocked yet excited to experience in person.

What I did

My first assignment wasn’t an introduction like most people would think. They wanted us to explain the purpose of life. That question made me think hard. To solve that problem, I decided to use the Ikigai Technique. It is a Japanese notion that combines one’s passion, mission, vocation, and profession. Both personally and generatively, doing this was quite an experience.

Tools I Used

To complete the task, I explored and learned through:

ChatGPT – for idea generation

YouTube videos – for real-time insights

Microsoft Copilot – for support in writing and exploring AI-related themes. These resources enhanced my understanding of the task and demonstrated how technology can aid in the creative process.

What I Learned

I learned how AI is transforming the workforce, foreshadowing the decline of certain roles while others transform. I was exposed to an extensive variety of AI tools and websites, available across multiple platforms and industries. The pace and scale of this change was incredibly eye-opening for me.

How I Worked

I visited different sites to reference and get some ideas. I also looked at YouTube videos on how people interpret their purpose in life and AI. Copilot and ChatGPT helped in improving the grammar and content of my work so I used artificial intelligence for writing aid. The independence I had helped me to do research and write freely without time limits.

 How I Felt   

Excited would be the right emotion — that is how I felt at the end of the day along with curious too. I hope in the coming days, I get to experience new challenges and gain understanding, practical exposure, and experience in the professional environment.
